Big City Recording Studios
Big City Recording Studios is a Los Angeles-based recording facility founded in 1980. Originally called Sounder Studios, it was sold and completely remodeled in 1999. The studio has been a mainstay for recording all types of acoustic music including jazz, classical, pop, rock, blues, country, singer-songwriter, etc for over 40 years. Much of the original vintage equipment is still in use while other inferior and outdated gear was updated. One of the main attractions of the studio is the Yamaha C7 Concert Grand piano which many pianists have praised as being one of the best pianos in LA .
